The cardboard is for  the back of your pad. It just gives your pad a little more sturdiness.  You can omit it if you prefer. \u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cspan\u003ELine it all up and place one clip or peg\/pin on each side to avoid the paper from moving.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/span\u003E\u003C\/li\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cspan\u003EApply glue on the spine of the pad. My version of ice-cream invitations for a picnic in a  park. As often, my invitations are bilingual (two-sided), but you can  easily omit the second language.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI used:\u003Cbr \/\u003E- fabric\u003Cbr \/\u003E- piece of thick card (scrap)\u003Cbr \/\u003E- double-sided tape\u003Cbr \/\u003E- card (for invites) - I used thin plain matt white card (170gsm) as I was doubling it.\u003Cbr \/\u003E- self-adhesive paper\u003Cbr \/\u003E- kraft card (thin - 170gsm)\u003Cbr \/\u003E- recycled ice-cream sticks (you can always buy some in craft stores)\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EMy picnic\/ice-cream invitations contain 4 elements: envelopes (or pocket), map, ice-cream and sticky label. \u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003EIce-creams\/popsicles\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI made my own template, so the ice-creams are about  the size of a business card (slightly bigger). I wanted sunshine and  colour. I  printed, cut out the cards and glued them on the sticks. I simply marked the folds with the back of a    craft knife, folded and glued with a simple glue stick. I let them dry  under a heavy book to make sure they were glued properly. \u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/div\u003E\u003Cdiv style=\"text-align: justify;\"\u003E\u003Cspan style=\"font-weight: bold;\"\u003ELabels\u003C\/span\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EI  wanted to make   sure my invitations would not fall out of the pockets as  these were  not fully closed. I needed a little map or  indications of where  the picnic would be. Being a picnic, in a park,  there is no formal  address and it is a pretty big park. So I had to  have a map. But I  couldn't find an idea to go along with my theme.  Finally, I saw a pin  on Pinterest (again) about printing on fabric while  I was searching for  picnic blanket patterns or gingham patterns. And  the idea was born.
